PVR, VCR and The Computer.
PVRs from Tivo are set to eventually replace the aging VCR… however, PC based PVR software allow for more functionality for editing and output (to tape, VCD, DVD, etc). I’ve been using Hauppage’s line of PVR for the PC but the trendy new SnapStream looks like a good contender: http://www.snapstream.com/Products/Products_PVS3.asp Not only does it let you do timed taping, it lets you broadast/stream video out to the web from home, save to MPG2 or DIVX, etc…
