American Dance Festival – Graphic & Web Designer
JOB SUMMARY: The Graphic Designer works primarily in marketing, but also with all departments in the organization to provide uniform and professional materials for communication purposes. This position is responsible for creating designs, proofing and having projects printed as well as maintaining the ADF website, forms and email presence.
REQUIREMENTS: Must work well independently, be a creative problem solver, be proficient in Adobe CS3(or higher): InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, and Dreamweaver. Have experience working with html, CSS, as well as with online WYSWIG programs such as an eNews software. Needs to work well under pressure and be able to multi-task. Candidate must hold a BA or BFA in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Conceive, design and produce print materials: ADF publications, invitations, marketing materials (such as posters, postcards, advertisements, banners), stationary, and other projects as they arise. This includes working directly with print companies to get competitive quotes for various projects.
- Coordination, formatting and proofing of programs for all ADF performances.
- Maintaining the ADF website with the staff as well as researching and proposing new and innovative ways to have a web presence. This may lead to a possible website overhaul.
- Administer Google Analytics, YouTube, Memberclicks, and WordPress accounts and use each as necessary.
- Design email blasts, including weekly news during the season.
- Supervise and advise an intern during the season.
