Interns are expected to work Monday through Friday from 11:30-5:30, Tuesday, June 9th through August 15.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: x-small;\">Artspace, North Carolina\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s          largest open studio environment, seeks an Intern for <a title=\"http:\/\/www.artspacenc.org\/volunteer_intern.html\" href=\"http:\/\/www.artspacenc.org\/volunteer_intern.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Summer 2010<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: xx-small;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">Entering its 21st successful year, the Artspace Summer          Arts Program offers eight sessions of week-long classes. Classes are project          oriented and taught by professional artists working in many different          fields. The program encourages the highest quality of work from both teachers          and students and fosters the discovery of exciting and new learning techniques          for its students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Internship begins <strong>Tuesday, June 8th<\/strong>. No work the week          of July 5th-9th. Intern is required to work through August 16. <span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Interns are expected to work Monday through Friday from 11:30-5:30.<br \/>\nThis          internship pays $1200. Arrangements for school credit are encouraged.<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: xx-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">This Internship is designed to help Visual Art, Art Education Majors,          Art Administration Majors, or MFA candidates develop skills in Educational          Programming and Management. <!--more--><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><br \/>\nThe intern will be responsible for: <\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: xx-small;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">supervising check in and out of students<\/span><\/li>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<li>scheduling\/overseeing volunteers<\/li>\n<li>gathering supplies for classes each week<\/li>\n<li>purchasing supplies<\/li>\n<li>acting as the liaison between staff and teachers<\/li>\n<li>ongoing evaluation of classes<\/li>\n<li>teaching After Hours program (arts and crafts activities for youths            that need to stay until 5:30pm)<\/li>\n<li>coordinating and installing the youth exhibition on Monday, August            17<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: x-small;\"><br \/>\nThe applicant must be able to manage many different projects simultaneously          and have excellent communication skills. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong> Interns are expected to work Monday through Friday from 11:30-5:30.<br \/>\nThis          internship pays $1200.
