\nPosition Summary:<\/strong>
\nThe Red Hat Brand Communications + Design group is the face and voice
\nof the Red Hat brand. We are currently seeking a Senior Video Editor to
\nhelp us design media experiences across the company that are authentic
\nto Red Hat.
\n
\nYou’ll be working with a small group of very high energy, dedicated,
\nand collaborative designers, editors, and motion artists that will do
\nanything for a project to succeed. A strong understanding of technology<\/p>\n

is not required, but the ability to tell stories for a technology
\ncompany is a must. Storytelling is what this group is all about and
\nit’s what keeps us going, even when we are given very demanding jobs.<\/p>\n

File management and organizational abilities are as much of a factor as
\ncreativity and becoming part of our group relies on many factors – we
\nconstantly rethink the way we do things and try to mix things us as
\noften as possible. We’re seeking someone that will look at projects
\nwith a new perspective each time and who will not be afraid to learn new
\nstyles and new ways of doing things. There’s no stagnation here!

\nRequirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, interaction design, film
\nstudies,
\npsychology, anthropology or another field we haven’t thought of that
\nyou
\ncan justify as being useful to creating authentic brand experiences<\/p>\n

– At least 2 years of experience applying the core principles of your
\nfield in a corporate environment<\/p>\n

– Deep understanding of current video techniques, software, and the
\norganization of assets<\/p>\n

In addition, we really value:<\/p>\n

– Training and or experience in brand building and marketing
\ncommunications<\/p>\n

– A love of film, be it animation, silent-era, avant-garde, french new<\/p>\n

wave, or action (there are a few of us that really love some new wave,<\/p>\n

though)<\/p>\n

– Understanding of open source and how to tell the Red Hat<\/p>\n

– Experience working in a creative, collaborative, and very open
\nenvironment<\/p>\n

– A strong service orientation, and experience managing relationships
\nwith external or internal clients<\/p>\n

– Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communications skills<\/p>\n

– The ability to act independently with little direction. And thrive in<\/p>\n

a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple projects and
