Of course typing speed varies from keyboard to keyboard, good luck hitting these numbers on a laptop or after a late lunch. I still bust out in stitches over the typing scene in &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.stephenkingshop.com\/books\/king\/books\/Misery1987.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Misery<\/a>&#8216;.<\/p>\n<p>This little applet brought back some funny memories of wasting (time) away in typing class. Do they still require typing in high school? maybe dubbed keyboarding now&#8230; I never could quite understand the teacher&#8217;s belief that we would still be using the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.selectric.org\/selectric\/\" target=\"_blank\">IBM Selectric Typewriters <\/a>after we graduated especially when we would leave that class and hop over to programming class (logo, basic, RPG-II, pascal &#8211; geek&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p><em>TypeQuick Results<\/em><br \/>\nNumber of words typed: 219<br \/>\nTest duration: 3 min<br \/>\nSpeed: 73.0 words\/min.
